Pure Bliss White, all the she-wolf could see. The snow was falling at a rapid pace, dorning her with a layer of snowflakes. Even her fur was unable to keep the chill from the wind off of her bones. Rosy eyes scanned her surroundings, through the multitude of falling snow she could make out the figure of a blackened tree. She tried to run towards it, but each stride was a struggle to jump through snow and keep pressing forwards. If it wasn't for her movements and eyes, one could mistake her for just another patch of snow. She kept trying to run towards the tall black tree, but she slowed with every stride. While she could feel the snow beginning to thin, the wind was thrashing against her and the tree, making it five times colder than it truely was.

She had reached the tree, but it's thin and ghastly shape didn't block much of the snow. The wind was coming from the west, so she stood on the eastern side of the tree. She dug herself a little hole in the snow, and attempt to create a spot to lay down and block out the wind. She lay down, and the snow came up just below the tip of her ears, but most of the wind was away from her body. She wasn't keen on trying to continue, she found no point in freezing to death and would rather try and wait out the wind and snow. She lay there waiting, everynow and then popping her head up like a hare to scan her surroundings. Trying to remain aware of what was happening around her.

Snow had started to pick up again, and every now and then a gust of wind would manage to hit the female. She grew cold, and a cough was beginning to develope. She swore mentaly at herself for not bringing any herbs with her from her old pack. So now I'll need Colts Foot, Passionfruit or Siberian Bugloss as a cough suppressant. Although Passionfruit or Siberian Bugloss would be quicker to find as they would grow when spring arrives. Why winter? If I got a cough, it woud be better for spring. Come to think of it, I might need Usnea in case this becomes an infection. Although no matter how much she wished she wouldn't need to get it, she would have to prepare herself in case. A cough came out every minute or two, and didn't seem like it was going to go away. She she lay there on frozen dirt and covered in snow, just waiting for a wolf or the weather to calm.

He’d been patrolling both his lands and the pits; undeterred hy the winter weather. Eyes the color of Ice narrowed at the winds as he thought he saw a shape in the distance. Hm. Moving forward he made his way towards the pits lone tree and over the wind and snow he could hear the sound of a cough getting closer. ”Hello?” It would take a moment more before he had moved to a spot where he could actually see the wolf and once he could he offered a smile and friendly wag of his tail. ”I’m Kearnal, alpha of the Ice pack and you’re in the lands of Doutaini. Its recruitment area to be exact. Do you need a healer for that cough of yours?” There was genuine concern in his voice. His mom had a chronic cough that she’d tried to hide but he’d bet his boots some of her herbs eere still in her stash. Although he didn’t know how effective they’d be after spending this time frozen.

This forest of emotions closes in; leaving a 'one way only' path.
I know what is down that dark trail; but there is no turning back.
One, Two, more souls drift away; only one will fill this hole. Wrath.
Pieces of me lost and broken drift away; my ribs an empty rack.

He can not hide in the snow, for it is too white and he is far too dark dark dark, the color of night, black ink spilled across a blank canvas as he drifts through the snow of the ugly pits like a spectre, and he pauses only briefly for there is something new on the wind, and a wide grin spread across his already-grinning face as he dances his way towards the queens' dead tree and drifts up behind Kearnal with a ghastly smile. Niyole had said something about disliking the new Ice alpha, and so now he wished to see for himself! ..Well. 'see'.

"Nasty cough, my dear," the Blind Seer speaks frankly, his velveteen voice belying little of his persona, sans the cheshire grin that seems to remain painted on his mug,"But luckily~ you're near enough to the Willows to be able to find something that'll help. Why, the Willows might be exactly what you need!" His sightless gaze drifts to Kearnal for a moment, mischief and mirth twinkling behind his milky eyes,"Though I don't mind sharing some of my warmth to assist you." He winks, the expression silly on a creature who is blind, but he cannot help it. It comes too naturally. The flirting, of course. Still, while his voice houses no genuine concern, his actions speak otherwise and, in a manner too feline for comfort, scales the tree, scaling the snow from the branches before plopping back down against it, blocking some of the wind from whipping so harshly against the lone female.

"Forgive my poor manners, today. I am Mercury, from Enigma. I will be more than willing to answer any questions you may have about this place, though I suggest for the sake of those of us who do NOT live in a frozen tundra," AHEM, Kearnal, "That we move somewhere warmer." And he is certain that there can be no denying that one.

Pure Bliss She lay there, as her cough was beginning to become more frequent. She jumps to her feet upon hearing a man's voice, unprepared for another wolf to come so quickly. She shook the snow from her fur, she lowered her head slightly, keeping her gaze away from the alpha's own. Her tail wagged in soft submission, before she would speak. "I-I-I'm Divya," cough, cough, cough she said in a quiet voice, voice stuttering from the cold "I wouldn't want to burden you, or your healers, a few simple herbs is all that I would need." She looked to the alpha of Ice, but before she is able to ask any questions a ghastly figure appeared.

Cough, cough He seemed to be as dark as night, perhaps even darker. She could tell from his milky eyes that he was blind, yet somehow he seemed able to decipher his surroundings well. Although what struck her the most was that carved grin, something one would see in a nightmare. "The willows?" She questioned, but his next phrase caused her to look away with a slight smile, and if it were possible to blush she would have become a cherry tomato. She watched him move, and he was quickly blocking parts of the wind from whipping across her body. "I'm Divya," She said once again, looking from Mercury to Kearnal"I hope it's no trouble, but what exactly is this place. cough What are the packs of ice and enigma?" She asked, and upon the suggestion of moving someplace warmer she looked to Kearnal, leaving the decision to him. She wouldnt know herself where to move to, but she assumed that one of the men would have an idea.

As Mercury arrived and the lass introduced herself he smiled. "A pleasure; Mercury, Divya." She didn't want to be a bother. That in itself was more than enough reason to help her. "The willows are north of here but opposite of the earth pack who would be our best bet on getting you some herbs or healing... " Of course they could give a call for Mars . He didn't think the fellow would mind growing a few herbs in the middle of winter but that'd be another pack trying to snag her attention. "Doutaini has nine packs; Ice and Enigma are two of them. Our gems represent our pack and the god or goddess we honor. They also grant us the use of a sliver of the gods power in exchange for a tax on our body. Rebel is the only pack that doesn't have a god and they focus on physical skills instead of magic." He moved closer; settling near the side of her that Mercury was not on but leaving enough space that he wasn't touching her. Some wolves got (not to make puns) touchy about that sort of thing. Eyes the color of ice shifted to Mercury as he considered the willows versus staying where they were. "Do you have any particular type of terrain that you'd like to live in? We've got the whole range in Doutaini... mountains, valleys, caves, shoreline, desert, forests. If you've a preference that would make it easier for Mercury and I to help you get settled." Sure he could try and lure her off to the sierra's but it wasn't for everybody and he knew that. Besides, as long as she took care of that cough and was happy; that was the important thing.

“In our village,”
folks say God crumbles up the old moon into stars.

― aleksandr solzhenitsyn, one day in the life of ivan denisovich

there is a call for the alpha of earth, king of the forest, advocate of kaede. his ears are perked from the call, wandering not far from the treeline of the pits, waiting for some kind of excitement, some new member to stir his life up. so the call is exactly what he needed. the man is sent off, legs striding across the pits, ready to see where he was called, what he was needed for. his eyes settled on the small group that was conjured up. his ears stayed perked as he approached with a small smile, head bowed and tail tucked to show that he was no harm.

“is everyone alright?” it comes from his lips with soft words and uncertainty as he looks over his friend first, mercury and kearnal. his eyes finally settle on the rogue with a soft smile, “i'm mars of earth, my dear. and you?” he hummed, sitting himself on the ground.

"Prompt as always," he replies, as Mars entered the scene. Personally, he would have waited to call for him until they were all well and settled, but oh well.
"We're all well, my friend. However, this young miss seems to be having some health issues-- nasty cough, you see. I was going to take her to the Willows to retrieve some herbs, but if you feel like growing some for us in this damnable snow, nobody would object." He speaks without hesitance in his voice, for the only one here he is wary of is Kearnal, if not because of a few other things. Still, he will reserve judgement, for now.
"Regardless of where you'd like to go, Miss Divya, I'd be happy to escort you. Besides, I should work these chill from these muscles anyway, a walk would do me well." a light, near playful shrug rolls his fur a moment before his attention focuses to Mars, drifting back and forth between the trio to wait and see exactly what is going to happen.

It is both curiosity and an unfathomable desire for knowledge that drives him, and his presence, and so it is with a calm, collected intrigue that he waits to see the cause and effect of this meeting.

Keston always tried to make regular trips to Kuro Pit, especially in the dead of winter when he could bet those newly arrived in Doutaini needed a warm place to rest and a filling meal the most. Today was a particularly dreadful day in terms of weather, as a blizzard overpowered the sea-faring king who was acclimated to more agreeable climates. Nevertheless, Keston squinted clearwater eyes and braced himself for the white conditions ahead, lowering his head so that the snow avoiding falling directly into his eyes. He was more thankful than normal to be a Lioncourt today, as the pseudomane of longer strands encircled his neck and added much-needed warmth against the bitter cold. Likewise, the feathering around his ankles kept his joints warm as he trudged forward into the snowbanks and a world coated in the rigid skeleton of hoarfrost. Up ahead, he spotted a fairly large gathering given the weather and even from a distance, Keston could recognize the gentleman huddled around the stranger. Concerned that the stranger might be in need, the amiable king rushed forward to offer his assistance, bringing with him the scent of the far-off sea. “Is everyone okay—do you need help, miss?” The golden warrior asked the stranger in a warm, baritone voice. The haze of snowfall had dissipated when Keston gained proximity to the gathering and he could notice that the woman did not have any obvious wounds beyond those inflicted by winter’s touch. “My name is Keston, from the Water pack.” He offered finally, a polite smile lifting the corners of his lips upward. The falling snow continued around them and peppered the oceanic king’s broad shoulders and back as he turned to greet the three kings with a dip of his head, all while thinking how fortunate it would be if a wolf from Fire perhaps found their way to their gathering.
